Why Did You Decide to Become a Pediatric Dentist?

It didn’t take Dr. Nisha long to decide that she wanted to become a dentist! In high school, she determined that it was the perfect career path for her because it blended health, artistry, and entrepreneurship, which were all subjects that she loved to learn about.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Dr. Nisha went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Following dental school, she then went on to finish a Pediatric Dental Residency, where she gained unique and specialized skills in managing, diagnosing, and treating oral health concerns in children. Today, she’s proud to be a board-certified pediatric dentist.

Dr. Nisha remains a dedicated member of several professional organizations that allow her to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in her field, including the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Originally from Wheaton, Illinois, Dr. Nisha has a large, tight-knit Indian family that she’s incredibly grateful for. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, doing hot yoga, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog. An interesting fact about Dr. Nisha is that she gave the commencement address at her college graduation!
