About Dr. Karr

Dr. Lynn Karr is a native of northwest Indiana. Both she and her husband graduated from Munster High School in 1991. Dr. Karr graduated with honors and was awarded the athlete of the year award in 1991 for her academic and athletic achievements. In 1995, she graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette with highest distinction. She completed Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1999. During this time she outreached to children of need in the Amish community in Goshen, IN as well as Aurora, Colorado. After five years of treating adults and children in general practice, she went on to further her education and skills and pursue her love of working with children.

She attended The University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital Residency Program where she completed her specialty degree in pediatrics. Dr. Karr follows the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines, and recommends early visits to the dentist, ages 1 and up. This gives the child the best chance for early prevention practices. It also gives the parent information on bottle and pacifier use, juice, and eating habits that help promote healthy teeth. Prevention is the practice’s main emphasis and anticipatory guidance is reviewed on each recall visit.

Dr. Karr offers wonderful comfort care for your child with the added service of anesthesiology. After discussing options for the best patient management of your child with you, you may decide general anesthesia is the best option. Dr. Karr has hospital privileges at Franciscan Physician’s Regional Hospital in Munster, IN.
